Jodianne Ingersoll
My experience as a psychiatric nurse has been extensive over the last two decades, and primarily has involved working on inpatient psychiatric units in acute care hospital settings. Since 2016, as I continued to broaden my interest in psychiatry, I became a board certified PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) licensed in the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Psychiatric Empowerment Services was established in 2017 and is my private practice in southern New Hampshire. To maintain my psychopharmacology skills I attend yearly conferences through Harvard Medical School and the Nevada Psychiatric Association. I also maintain a membership with the Neuroscience Education Institute.
As a board certified mental health nurse practitioner, I have been specially trained in assessing, diagnosing, and treating both acute and chronic mental illnesses throughout the life span. Although, my focus is to help guide clients through achieving empowerment over their lives, I also have the ability and knowledge to prescribe psychotropic medications to individuals of all ages who are suffering from a mental health illness.
My experiences with mental health problems has been wide ranged and includes: mood disorders, depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use problems, emotional dysregulation, developmental delay, dementia and other cognitive impairment disorders. I have a special passion for helping clients overcome addiction disorders and working with elders who are experiencing behavioral problems related to a dementia diagnosis.
